Teknix SCW61X - Black Glass Warming Drawer

There are many warming drawers available - not so many on our high street but plenty online. Prices vary enormously but I wasn't prepared to pay a large amount for what I consider to be a basic appliance function. In the end I chose what I call a value brand (a quarter of the price of some top brands). In common with many others these days it is made in China. The design and cosmetics are pleasing and it seems well made. The drawer front is plain dark glass with a stainless steel trim bar along the edge. It matches well with our black glass fronted oven with no extra fancy names on view. Internal height around 110mm - so no problem for my 4inch deep soup bowls. It comes with a removable silicon rubber mat (around 42cm x 52cm) for the internal tray and a 1.1m connection cable - which I found too short. It uses a standard kettle type connector so longer cables are readily available.
In use you will hear the background noise of the internal fan but nothing exceptional.
Controls are ON/OFF pushbutton . Red light visible through glass when on.
Thermost knob to set internal temperature. The drawer is already used more often than I expected and yes I am happy with my purchase.

Quiet operation easy to hang and assemble

The Texnix warmer is well constructed and fits into our microwave, oven and utensil tower very well.
