Failed in less than two weeks!

Bought a hotpoint because our last one kept blowing heating elements and had lasted over 12 years! This one arrived, is simplified at the front so doing some commands now requires two button presses instead of one, but seems nice and quiet! However, in 12 days it started tripping the electric in the house mid wash. Rang to get it changed and told that hotpoint warranty requires it to be repaired now because it’s been installed! Currently waiting for an engineer which is done through domestic and general (god help us). Not feeling optimistic as to this ones longevity!
