The freezer works well. Only time will tell how "frost free" it is, which was the primary reason we bought this model. It is a little noisier than our last freezer - just a little hum, but our last freezer was silent. It also makes a much louder vibrating noise often (which goes away if it's given a kick). The capacity is also smaller inside than our last freezer, even though they have the same external dimensions. The open door alarm is useful, except it goes off quite soon after the door is opened, meaning that when I am loading the weekly shopping, it goes off every time. A slightly longer delay before the alarm goes off would be better.
